Polish politicans (Palikot’s Movement) wear Guy Fawkes mask in Parliament to protest against ACTA.
Guy to the far right on the phone with his wife,
Husband: Honey?
Wife: What?
Husband: Where’s my Guy Fawkes mask?
Wife: What?
Husband: Where. Is. MY. GUY. FAWKES. MASK?!!!!
Wife: I, uh, put it away.
Husband: *Where*?
Wife: *Why* do you *need* to know?
Husband: I need it!
Wife: Uh-uh! Don’t you think about running off doing no derrin’-do. We’ve been planning this dinner for two months!
Husband: The Internet is in danger!
Wife: My evening is in danger!
Husband: You tell me where my suit is, woman! We are talking about the greater good!
Wife: ‘Greater good?’ I am your wife! I’m the greatest *good* you are ever gonna get!

A new global treaty could allow corporations to police what we do on the Internet. Last week we successfully pushed back the US censorship bills — if we act now, we can get the EU Parliament to bury this new threat — add your voice now!

ACTA in a Nutshell –
What is ACTA? ACTA is the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement. A new intellectual property enforcement treaty being negotiated by the United States, the European Community, Switzerland, and Japan, with Australia, the Republic of Korea, New Zealand, Mexico, Jordan, Morocco, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, and Canada recently announcing that they will join in as well.
Why should you care about ACTA? Initial reports indicate that the treaty will have a very broad scope and will involve new tools targeting “Internet distribution and information technology.”
What is the goal of ACTA? Reportedly the goal is to create new legal standards of intellectual property enforcement, as well as increased international cooperation, an example of which would be an increase in information sharing between signatory countries’ law enforcement agencies.
